I am a professional mountain guide based in Seattle, Washington. I started climbing when I was eleven years old and have been guiding since 2004. In a typical year, I guide and teach all forms of climbing across North America. This includes alpine climbing in the Cascade Mountains and Canadian Rockies, high altitude expeditions in Alaska, and single and multi-pitch rock climbing in Red Rock Canyon of Nevada, the Cascades, British Columbia, and the Sierra. When winter settles in I focus on ice and mixed climbing, backcountry skiing, and American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) avalanche courses, with occasional trips to the desert southwest for my rock climbing (and sun) fixes.
I am a Certified Rock Guide through the American Mountain Guide Association, and am pursuing a full international certification (rock, alpine, and skiing) through the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations.
